Understanding Feedback
Prose-Level Feedback
- Appears as highlighted annotations in the editor and as comment cards in the Comments Panel
- Often includes suggested rewrites
- Generally focuses on: typos, word choice, sentence structure, clarity
- Click a highlighted annotation in the editor to view its comment in the Comments Panel
- Accept suggestions with one click or by pressing A
- Reject suggestions with one click or by pressing R
Developmental Feedback (Chapter Level)
Appears as comment cards in the Comments Panel, grouped by feedback type.
Each card includes:
- Feedback Type: The category of feedback (e.g., Line Edits, Pacing, Character Development)
- Comment: Detailed explanation of the issue
- Action Items: Specific steps to implement the feedback, which can be individually completed or deleted
Generally focuses on: pacing, character development, plot consistency, structure
