Understanding Feedback

Prose-Level Feedback

  • Appears as highlighted annotations in the editor and as comment cards in the Comments Panel
  • Often includes suggested rewrites
  • Generally focuses on: typos, word choice, sentence structure, clarity
  • Click a highlighted annotation in the editor to view its comment in the Comments Panel
  • Accept suggestions with one click or by pressing A
  • Reject suggestions with one click or by pressing R

Developmental Feedback (Chapter Level)

Appears as comment cards in the Comments Panel, grouped by feedback type.

Each card includes:

  • Feedback Type: The category of feedback (e.g., Line Edits, Pacing, Character Development)
  • Comment: Detailed explanation of the issue
  • Action Items: Specific steps to implement the feedback, which can be individually completed or deleted

Generally focuses on: pacing, character development, plot consistency, structure
